The Process

A well-thought out financial plan is critical but most people don’t have the time or resources to create this plan, not to mention the ability to make changes as circumstances evolve. Your investments should not be managed based on convenience and certainly not left to chance.

Our goal is not only to grow your hard earned capital, but to monitor and preserve it through a careful blend of investments. We allocate across more than a dozen separate and distinct asset classes while seeking total return by placing as much emphasis on safe income (dividends and interest) as we do capital appreciation.

We advise not just on stocks and bonds, but on alternative investments as well such as real estate holdings or business interests, which gives us a greater understanding of your entire financial picture, not just your brokerage accounts. This approach ensures that all of your investments are considered at all times.

As a fee-only advisory firm, our only source of compensation comes from fees paid by our clients. We do not accept any other form of compensation from third parties or as a result of the work we perform. This provides comfort for our clients because they know our advice will remain objective and our integrity will not be compromised.

In determining fees, we look at each client’s entire story – not just their brokerage accounts – in order to determine how we might best serve them. We take the time to understand their needs, the relevant work to be done, and develop an appropriate fee for our services. Most agreements and related fees are annualized, but are never viewed as permanent – offering greater flexibility for both HK Financial and our clients.

Clients with full-service engagements have annualized fees that may be paid in quarterly or monthly installments. We also work selectively with clients facing transitional events or an accelerated time frame whereby our fees reflect only the time and limited services required.
